Zaher Z. Hammouda
Zaher has over 30 years of Management Experience, the majority of which has been in the banking field. He was Senior Vice President and Regional Director for Citibank’s Cash Management Business in the Middle East Africa Region from 1983 to 1988; and for Asia Pacific from 1988 to 1993. In 1994 Zaher along with a team of senior officers were assigned to negotiate a potential joint venture with a German Bank.
In 1995 he was appointed Senior Vice President and Regional Director for Central, Eastern and Western Europe; working for one of the divisions of Citibank’s Credit Card Business. Zaher was specifically selected in 1997 for a special assignment in New York working for the Chairman of the bank. In 1998 he was appointed as the Middle East & South Asia Division’s Marketing Head for the Corporate Bank; and Quality Director.
Zaher took early retirement in 1999, and started his unique consulting business under the name “Impact”. He is the Chairman of CSC International Ltd., a Management Consulting Company in Jersey (the Channel Islands) with operations across Asia Pacific.

Alwaleed held numerous senior managerial positions in the areas of Treasury, Investment Banking and Cash Management. Prior to joining Impact in 2003, Alwaleed was the Assistant General Manager of “BMB Investment Bank”. In addition to be being a member of the senior management team, he was responsible for the bank’s Investor Sales and Marketing business. Prior to joining BMB Investment Bank, he was the Vice President and Head of the Regional Treasury Marketing Unit at Citibank’s Middle-East regional offices in Bahrain.
Between 1985 and 1992 Alwaleed held various positions within Citibank’s Cash Management Business in the Gulf Region. Alwaleed is a computer science graduate from the Computer Institute of Canada, has completed the Executive Development Program at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration – University of Virginia, and holds an MBA from UK. Alwaleed is a member of the board of directors of BMB Investment Bank –Bahrain.

Shahid is a Computer Science graduate from the London University and has over 25 year experience in a variety of positions within Citigroup. Prior to joining Impact he held the position of Assistant General Manager at SAMBA Financial Group (formally known as Saudi American Bank) and was a member of the Senior Management Team.
He was responsible for the bank’s Strategic Planning, Product Cross Marketing, Innovation, Business Continuity and Communication. Between 1998 and 2000, Shahid lead the Quality Journey at SAMBA and the “Y2K” conversion and governance.
In his early years at SAMBA, he managed the deployment of key IT activities such as the Carnegie-Mellon Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model, and was credited with the development of “Software Quality Assurance”, “Information Security”, “Helpdesk Operation” and “Contingency planning”. Prior to joining SAMBA Shahid was the Vice President and Director of Technology Banking Solution Implementations at Citibank Europe, Middle East and Africa Region.
Salim R. Idriss
Senior Consultant, and General Manager –Lebanon Office
Salim is an A. Engineering graduate from the American University of Beirut. He established his own business in 1982 and built it into a well respected and successful organization. In 1998, Salim was invited to be a partner and Executive Director of a subsidiary company of the MedStar Group, one of Lebanon’s major conglomerates. He was personally responsible for the outstanding success of over 62 projects covering the private and public sectors.
Salim was strong business and leadership skills, great entrepreneurial sense, and a solid track record in service quality, customer satisfaction and facilitation. He was a lecturer at AUB and the Lebanese University, and has been a key speaker at several events.
Since joining Impact w.l.l. in 2000, Salim has been helping banks in the areas of process improvement, Six Sigma Quality, Retail Sales, and Branch Process Redesign.
Ammar Al Haddad
Ammar has over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry particularly at American Express where his responsibilities covered cards operations, merchant services, customer service, account management, sales and fraud prevention.
Ammar was instrumental in turning the Merchant business at American Express Bahrain into profitable franchise.
Prior to joining Impact, Ammar worked with Standard Chartered Bank where he was responsible for the retail business within the Diplomatic district of Manama. The business served both SME businesses as well as consumers. Ammar was responsible for building customer relationship through Sales (branch staff and direct sales team) and for all aspects of customer service. He joined the IMPACT team in mid 2005 and has been engaged with assignments in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Ammar is a graduate Maritime Transport engineer.
Carlos had an extensive career in senior marketing and management position in American Express (5 years) and Citibank (15 years). Having worked in Mexico Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Ecuador. Carlos has developed a solid experience in consumer banking with a specialization in the credit card business. He started his career in marketing. He quickly was promoted to senior management positions, and was the Business Director and Consumer Bank Vice President at Citigroup.
Carlos has post-graduate degrees in Marketing from Spain and the United Kingdom, and has Advanced marketing credentials from IMEDE, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Carlos is currently responsible for a major consulting assignment advising the chairman of the board of directors of a GCC bank, in the areas of consumer banking strategy, organization, and re-positioning.
Fatma Khalsi Abassi
Senior Consultant, Manager –Tunisia
In 1990 Fatma’s joined the Off Shore Banking Industry in Tunisia. She initially worked for BEST Bank, the successfully founded “BEST Invest” a Brokerage house subsidiary of the Bank in 1996 and contributed to the development of private banking services with the launch of the Tunisian Stock Exchange Electronic Trading System.
In 1998, Fatma joined the Arab Banking Corporation where she held several senior positions in Corporate and Retail Banking. Prior to joining the consulting business, she was Acting General Manager of ABC Tunisia.
Fatma is a graduate of the University of Tunis in Economics & Management; she also holds a Master degree in Law of International Trade.
She is currently working with some of the company’s consultants on the strategy development of a major GCC bank, focusing on retail structure, operations, delivery platforms, products and market positioning.
